Attempting to install rear from the epel 5 repository results in:

rear-1.13.0-1.el5.noarch from epel has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: genisoimage is needed by package rear-1.13.0-1.el5.noarch (epel)
rear-1.13.0-1.el5.noarch from epel has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: rpcbind is needed by package rear-1.13.0-1.el5.noarch (epel)

RedHat Bugzilla 823195 is open for this issue.

rear-1.13.0-2 has been pushed into Epel-5. Wait a few days and will be available to test.

According to Red Hat Bugzilla this is now fixed. Closing the issue.
