#645 Issue closed: USB disk mount point added to backup causing rear to rsync infinitely

Labels: bug, fixed / solved / done

gdha opened issue at 2015-08-22 08:17:

the site.conf contains:

BACKUP=NETFS
OUTPUT=USB
BACKUP_PROG=rsync
BACKUP_URL=usb:///dev/disk/by-label/REAR-000

and the /dev/sdb1 usb disk was mounted during the rear mkbackup activities and was added to the disklayout.conf file as:

 fs /dev/sdb1 /mnt ext3 uuid=75167618-e24c-4f1b-b9b1-956da74fd424 label=REAR-000 blocksize=4096 reserved_blocks=4% max_mounts=-1 check_interval=0d bytes_per_inode=16375 default_mount_options=journal_data_ordered,acl options=rw,relatime

but should have been excluded automatically

script /usr/share/rear/layout/save/default/32_autoexclude.sh says:

### Automatically exclude filesystems under a certain path
### This should cover automatically attached USB devices.
if [[ "$AUTOEXCLUDE_PATH" ]] ; then
    for exclude in "${AUTOEXCLUDE_PATH[@]}" ; do

Apparently, only true for the USB_DEVICE (defined in OUTPUT_URL) and not for the same USB device already hard-mounted on e.g. /mnt instead of /media
